Swiftly
Blows the autumn leaves.
Heav’ly
Blows the wind.
Quickly
Bustles the blackened people.
The show’s begun again.

Pushing past the multitude;
A clash of dirty hands,
And fallen faces
Who’ve come from broken lands.
All knowing where they’ve been,
Not one misunderstands.
As of where they’ve come to be,
Not one can understand.
For the show’s begun again.

For as long as one remembers,
As far as one can tell,
A many of Septembers
From so long ago;
The populous Assembled;
The proletariat came
To see a heinous show
From so long ago.
For the show’s about to begin.

So here they come into the room;
The heavy curtain sways.
Casting shadows of light, and they
Fall down, to the ground, and stay
There’s nowhere else to go.
The room, the forlorn void of them
Filled to the brink with shadowmen;
Whispering memories of Septembers ago,
Each one come to watch the show.

And all of them
Torn away from what they’ve known,
As woeful stares
And clouded eyes
Look up to watch the show.

What can I say was seen just then?
Glimpsed by all the shadowmen
But a girl in shadow’s cape,
With fire for a head of hair,
And eyes that changed with every step.
And as she stepped up to the floor,
Not a noise could be heard,
Nay an eye would be closed,
For the show’s begun again.

And in a glance appeared a sphere
Of crystal, glass; a dream or two
Many pains and hates; a rue.
And with a glance of anticipation,
Many a bead of perspiration,
Up she jumped in a fret of fear
And all but simply disappeared.
For the show’s begun again.

Then all at once appeared
A stream of light; white.
For nowhere, or no one
But the girl in shadows cape.
And once again, like all the years
Without a sound, sheer silence spoke
As the girl entered the sphere.
For the show’s begun again.

And what beauty befell the place
What staggering light was shown, at then.
As the light transformed;
For what once had been the light
That every eye could see;
White and dull and plain and naught,
Transformed to something long forgot.
As the girl spilled open here and there,
And tore through every heart, compare.
For the show’s begun again.

Rouge; for all the blood she’s shed
The pain from feeling nothing.
Orange; for every thought she’s wasted
On what she wants the most.
Juane: for every lillipution moment
She was someone beyond herself
Vert: for the dark place
She knows better than her own
Bleu: for every peaceful comfort
She left alone at home.
Indigo; for the stability
She grasps for every step.
Violette; for the love of the one
Who pains her heart the most.
For the show’s about to end.

And as the brilliant colors danced,
Watched by all the shadowmen,
Something because a little clearer;
Her heart was drawn a little nearer.
And for one moment over naught,
The fire girl with shadow’s cape
Spilled out each color of her heart,
To show the world what they’d lost.
For the show’s about to end.

And as she danced, and twirled, and strained
She slowly became herself again
And with her dreams, she last kissed,
The colors ceased to exist.
Fading gently to the point
Where all that was left was a simple,
Faint light.
Beating in twos’,
Fainter and fainter,
Until all were in darkness,
Until all eyes could see.
Until the show was over.

And with the hum of people leaving,
With the shift of shadows stealing,
All of them got up and then
Left the little room again.
All had seen,
All understood,
Of the girl in shadow’s hood.
All but one who stayed and stared;
Whose shadowform was blank, spare
The faint
Beating of a light,
Stronger and stronger;
In twos’, in twos’.
For there would be a show again.

Why thank you!

Yes, it is very long, I must admit, So I can I understand that it could become tedious.

Thank you for the comment!
