For Honor, For Courage, For You

I want to be a husband to my wife
A soldier to my country
A father to my kids
A guardian of liberty.
The stars against that blue background
Is such a pretty sight
Yet the red and white strips
Remind me why I have to fight.
If duty claims my life
Let it be so
I know the sacrifice
I knew it long ago.
Still I’m gonna cross those deserts
I’m gonna sail that sea
I’m gonna climb those mountains

Because freedom don’t come free!
When I made that oath
To never surrender
I intend to keep it
No matter what road I wander
If something happens
That I can’t undo
Just remember
It was for honor, for courage, for you…

Thank you. My uncle is the CO of his unit in the Middle East right now. The slogan: For Honor for Courage for Country is the Marine slongan so I kinda play with that. Thanks again.
