No one tells the truth
The truth is that people are gonna hurt you
So decide who’s worth the pain,
And when you’re not sure what to do
Remember you’re not the only one to blame
Everyone knows you don’t always get what you planned
And that everyone runs away from what they don’t understand
We all hideaway the guilt of our youth
Yet still we all wonder why no one tells the truth
To get the truth behind the words
You have to read between the lines,
Because people won’t tell you how they feel
They expect you to be able to read their minds
So learn to tell if a laugh is real
Or if I smile is just a fake,
That’s the only way you’ll really know
If believing is a mistake
Everyone knows life doesn’t always go the way you planned
And that everyone runs away, from what they don’t understand
We all hideaway the guilt of our youth
Yet still we wonder why no one tells the truth
