Secrets secrets are no fun until
One tells everyone, your story
So deep so dark it gives a chill
To all that hear its glory
Hush it is obligatory
For all to hear and to expose
For one it’s derogatory

Mouth to ear each time with more thrill
For one a distant memory
Flame is fed harder to kill
Rumor is now allegory
Truth hidden by details so gory
Can’t erase the auditory

One done in by the rumor mill
Without a chance of victory
The truth is but a bitter pill
Alone in the minority
Threatened by the majority
One’s poetry has changed to pros
Fallen tower of ivory
