I was 6,
I lived in the pretend.
I was young,
I lived in the pretend.
I grew up,
I started leaving the pretend.
I was 13,
I didn’t want to be in the pretend.
I wanted to be cool,
I didn’t want to be in the pretend.
I left middle school,
I got farther from the pretend.
I was 15,
I was out of the pretend.
I wanted to drive,
I was out of the pretend.
I got older,
I started looking for the pretend.
I am 16,
I want to find the pretend.
I miss being 6,
Help me back to
the Pretend.
