Lover's Day
wisps of clouds desert the skies

A trillion stars caress your eyes,

While all around the echoed sighs

 Of hearts immune to lullabies.

Lay wakeful, musing words to say

 On this romantic lovers day.

 Breezes whisper, rivers glide

As on they wander starry eyed,

The vulgar world is cast aside

Each to the others heart is tied.

And as they dream the night away

They'll live again this lover’s day.

This is the ebb before the flow

As passions embers warm and glow,

All hearts believe but seldom know

That nature calls for love to grow.

By gilded flecks of dawn we pay

Our homage to this lover’s day.
