trumpet song
In the morning light
You see the trumpets gleam
So young and bright
They just seem to beam
They stand there so still
In the early morning
It makes you wonder if they are ill
But they r just listing to their directors drowning
Listen to that amazing tone
That comes from their horn
Not from the trombone
Not even a French horn
Can you here that sound
Not even single swells
That comes from those band stands
That tone that dwells
They throw you in the mist
And take you by that hand
And show you every twist
All the way around
Now I know that this may seem a little Nazi
But there is not a dry eye
Not even the poperatize
Can even say good bye
You can almost hear them say
“Day oh we say day 'o day light comes and we don’t want to go home”
You can hear them all the way
From the band dome
So when you see them marching around
The football stadium in the early light
Don’t forget that they live and breathe band
So it doesn’t bother them not one bit the live to be in that spotlight
So when you hear that bang
You know what to think here comes the band
Some might say dang
All fanned around the stands
