Poverty
Luxury is what we aim for,
 Us the human race
But there are some who beg to stay alive
 In another place
 Hunger strikes their little tummies
 Thirst keeps their mouths dry
 Starvation takes all their strength
And doesnt leave any to ask why
Why cant we have clean water
Why cant we have safe food
Why can we be sheltered from rain
Why must my life be so crude
Mothers and Fathers and sisters and brothers
Suffer before a young childs eyes
The child knows they cannot help
So they must unmercifully listen to the cries
 Diseases come, Diseases go
 Memories just get worse
When they came into this place
On their lives, froze a curse
Even though their lives are poor
They hold tight to the life rope
Praying that their life will change
 They cry tears of hope
