Aspiration
You approach the stairs
As you do every other night
Waiting, anticipating, twirling your curly blonde hair
Your director gives you the okay go and you’re out of sight
Next thing you know you are center stage shining in the lights

 Grab your old guitar
The band stars to bang, strum, and follow you
Dominating, captivating, the hundreds who came near and far
You are a vision of sparkles dancing in your cowboy boots
No one can connect us deeper with music than the way you do

Our hands shoot above our heads
 Swaying from side to side
Stating, creating, new songs for us to spread
The time of our lives as every one of us is eyed
By your enchanting beauty and presence in our minds

 You are nearly done
Belting out ballads, medleys, and solos
The title of your triple platinum album
Is the only remaining number to show
We are excited for the finale but sad to see you go

 As confetti rains down
And every fan is dancing around
I capture this moment in my mind
 Our voices echo so loud
 Shaking the concrete ground
You surprise us with an acoustic encore

 As you disappear
The fans clear out to the warm summer night
We wish we could stay here
But it’s only the end of a chapter in our lives
Now you exit my world out of this town's morning eyes

Car rides home never leave me tired
I enjoy watching the world sleep
The lights fade out the window I keep quiet
I thought to myself, what an amazing sight to see
Someone truly love and enjoy what they are doing
Especially when that someone is everything I hope to be
