How High
Young boy wakes up
 And learns he can fly
 Hops out of bed
 And soars through the sky

 He flies round and round
 To all he’s never seen
 It’s all so new
 Almost like it’s a dream

If you could fly so high
 Where would you go?
 Would you travel the world?
Or soar like an eagle or
 How high would you fly?

 Maybe you wouldn’t try
 Maybe you would just hide
Hide away form the gift you fear

 Young boy flies so far
 Flies so wide
That he meets a young girl
 Who can also fly?

 They fly together
 As no other two can
Because only they know the joy
Of being free in the air

Through translucent fluffs of misty clouds
 Cresting over white foam waves
 Grazing crisp snow-peaked mountains
 All around they flew

If you could fly so high
 Where would you go?
 Would you travel the world?
 Or soar like an eagle
 How high would you fly?

 Or maybe you wouldn’t try
 Maybe you would just hide
Hide away from the gift you fear

 After lots of flying
 The young boy and girl
 Come across a school
A school of kids who also have gifts

 Some kids can read minds
 And others are fast
There are those who can disappear
 Then ones that can heal

 But among all these children
 None are fliers
Only the young girl and young boy
 Know how to fly

If you could fly so high
 Where would you go?
 Would you travel the world?
 Or soar like an eagle
 How high would you fly?

 Or maybe you wouldn’t try
 Maybe you would just hide
Hide away from the gift you fear

 The young boy and girl
 Developed a dream
 A dream of teaching
They wanted to teach others how to fly

 They said it was easy
That all you had to do
Was close your eyes and try. And dream
 And then you would fly

What if it was that easy?
Close your eyes, dream, and try
 Then you would fly
If it was that easy, would you try?
If you could fly so high
 Where would you go?
 Would you travel the world?
 Or soar like an eagle
 How high would you fly?

 Or maybe you wouldn’t try
 Maybe you would just hide
Hide away from the gift you fear

 The young boy and girl
 Never fulfilled their dream
However hard they pushed and tried
No one else could ever fly

The young boy and girl grew older
 And continued to fly together
At an old age they died
Without living out their one dream

 Maybe their students couldn’t fly
 Because they couldn’t dream
They couldn’t let themselves be free
 Can anyone be free?

What if all that was keeping us from flying
 Was a fear of falling?
 If we weren’t afraid
 Could we fly?

 Could we all be?
Like the young boy and girl
And set ourselves free to fly
 Set ourselves free to dream

If you could fly so high
 Where would you go?
 Would you travel the world?
 Or soar like an eagle
 How high would you fly?

 Or maybe you wouldn’t try
 Maybe you would just hide
Hide away from a gift you fear
 But if you could
 How high would you fly?
