The Great Gatsby
It was the roaring twenties
Everything was fun and new
The war was over and peace prevailed
Parties and glamour was all there was to do.
West egg and east egg were the places to be
Gatsby threw parties no one could beat
Dancing, music, and food galore
Kept the people there even through the heat.
Gatsby threw these parties for his true love, Daisy
Sadly, she was married to a brute of a man
Tom, her husband, had an affair with Myrtle
Who’s husband, George, was never her fan
These love triangles led to many disasters
Myrtle, George, and Gatsby all died
Products of love and hate
This was inevitable no matter how hard anyone tried.
