The Little Girl
She would wake up,
run to her parents room
and jump on their bed until they woke
and got up to make her breakfast.
Daily she made everyone smile and
laugh even up until her final moments.
Slowly she got more and more sick.
They tried everything but nothing worked.
Now lay their little girl
in that chocolate brown casket.
Tears flow.
The mom won’t stop crying.
The dad holds her.
But nothing they could do,
would ever bring her back.
