Fire Flies
Frolic near
The hillside fancy
Little girls they play
Counting lambs
On fields below
Singing to the clouds
Bringing boys
When fancies change
Teaching them to dance
He looks at her
And sees the stars
A galaxy bazaar
She holds his hand
And pulls him with
To show her place of bliss
Watching clouds
Then counting stars
He starts to fall in love
The sun falls over
The horizon far
They look into eyes so deep
Moments perfect
He pulls her near
When she leaps into the air
Lightning bugs
Light up the sky
A glisten in her eyes
She tries to catch
Those little lights
A love, so childlike
He chases her
His firefly
The girl who brings him light
They run along
The hillside green
When young love ignites
It’s getting late
And she must go
She turns to say goodbye
They smile
As they bid ado
Then he turns and walks away
She pauses on
A moments whim
The stars have all aligned
She runs and stops him
Pulls him near
Four rose blossoms meet
