"What have you brought me today? Delusional mutterings with a side of crazy?"
~ Winter, Marissa Meyer

Gentle lips

Pressed against me

Gentle hands

Fondling me

He is mine

Forever imprinted

A broken piece of me

Marked with his manhood

The words still echo inside my head

Even a year later

I'mma take you hard tonight

And I believed him

It was good

The deed that he did

It felt good

The girl that he did

Me

Poor, stupid me

I thought age was just a number

But no

It is the law

Injustice is here

Why must love be blocked

By a law that was once forgotten

Or not there at all

Eighteen is just a number

Even to a fifteen

Love is still love

What more could he give

Now I sit here

Wishing it to be gone

The memory of it all

The memory of the law

Screw the law

Laws can be changed

It may take time

It may take effort

But for the benefit of other lovers love

I shall do it all

For you

My love

I write this piece

Will you ever read it

Probably not

But the world shall hear

I say no to blocked love

I say yes to my love

My love may be gone now

But I still say yes to love

The author's comments:

Why should 18-year-old's be punished for falling in love with a girl only 3 years younger than him? It really makes no sense. This happened to me, a year ago. My man was 18, me 15. He went to jail for falling in love. That is just not right. Baby steps, that is what this poem is. First a poem, then a memoir, then a revolution!
