One day he asked me,

"Why do you hate love?"

I don't hate love

I just hate falling in love

There's a difference

Sure, the butterflies are exciting

And you've never felt more alive

But why would I want to waste

Such a wonderful, amazing feeling

On some guy who'll surely

Break my heart into a million pieces?

This is a poem I wrote a couple of months ago after a conversation I had with an old friend. Let's just say, we're not friends anymore.
