"I'm still figuring out who I am. But I know I'm not who I once was." -Brendon Urie, from Panic! At The Disco

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who are crying every night
Who are lying in bed wide awake
Wishing that the voices in their heads
Would just stop talking
And go to sleep

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who are pushed and shoved in school
With words that hurt more than
Any stick or stone ever would
But no one in the halls is willing
To be their shield

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who believe that they are so worthless
They'd do anything to change
When really it's not their fault that
No one sees their beauty
It's actually society's

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who have to find a million different ways
To release their trapped emotions
Because no one is willing to listen
So their perfect bodies are cut open to bleed
In the process

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who are holding a gun to their foreheads
In the bathroom late at night
Shutting their eyes so they don't see
What the color of blood looks like
On a cracked mirror

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who have the audacity
To tell the ones who are looking for hope
To just shut up and stop asking for attention
Because it's pathetic and weak
Even though it's not

It's sad to think
There are kids in the world
Who don't know how to be happy anymore
Because of something someone said
When they were trying to ask for help
And instead received insults
Saying they're too needy

It's sad to think
We are trying to do everything we can
To help the kids in the world
Who are still struggling with depression
But it's not going to get better
Because there's always that one person
Who thinks we're lying

I'm tired of those who think suicide is a joking matter. It's not.
