if those are even the right words:

let’s be children together;

we can embrace our youthful smiles;

free each other; live

in the moment; the sun and moon;

unconventionally;

Ceres and Eris among meteoroids;

link arms, touch hearts;

snap apart the last of our wires;

laugh away brokenness;

always putting Rachel before Leah,

which is my problem,

not yours; you should’ve come first;

he may be what I have

on Earth, but you could take me

to the stars and beyond.

The author's comments:

This is actually a piece that had a destination, meaning that I knew what this poem meant from start to finish, which is relatively uncommon for me. I's perhaps another I feel guilty about writing, but I'm trying my hardest to make sure my poems never shy away from honesty. Who this is about is somewhat a secret, so all I can say is, this is certainly something we never messaged about, but it's a pretty big change from unintelligible symbols. So I suppose I hope that readers like the more whimsical tone this poem has (mostly), compared to much of my other work. Adieu!
