The Fall

There is something comforting about the fall.
Warm sweaters and pumpkin spice.
Scented pinecones,
And long forest walks.
Bright colored leaves coating the ground,
Autumn’s own version of snow.
The feeling of being loved,
Of loving others,
Of being whole again.
I give my thanks to Fall
For making us all better people,
Better than we ever thought we could be.
