Your hands on me
The looming threat of someone knocking on the door
I let my guard down
I was better than her
You couldn’t admit the truth
Somehow you persuaded me
Somehow you got me to stay
You were not worth the trouble
You were not worth the punishment
You almost ruined me
You destroyed my reputation
I should have turned you down
I should have said no
I should have ignored your advances
I should have just left
I should have quit
You begged me to stay
You would not let me go
I stayed for you
You left me
Alone to fend for myself
