The marigolds drop
from her hands like the rain.
Curling her hair
with one finger, waiting.
Petals kiss her feet,
they fall like her heart
to the ground.
Just to die.
Tears stream down her face
like a waterfall.
The marigolds drop.
Every last petal,
until she finds the right one.
