Flame(s)
One by one the flames burn out
Out of the cowards that candles are
They served little purpose for they stick with the familiar
The familiar gives comfort to all
So, to distract ourselves, we stay in one place
For all our lives
Fearing the next phase of our existence
Death.
It is encouraged
And discouraged
But the flames that meet and spread
Those are the ones who are known
No single flame is remembered
But together they are known to all
