The Eagle Folds it's Wings
Closed eyes, no dreams
Knuckles are snow against everything
The world ever changing while standing still
One blast is all it takes
Courage burns red
Every hair a blade of grass
Spreading the crimson flame
His body a torch, an inspiration
The magicians and their scalpels
Band-aid the history
However his feet squeak
As his ears begin to ring
His home fills with blood
As it did when the towers fell
No handcuffs contain him
And he breathes his own air
When his heart was sinking
She caught it in her delicate grasp
And the smile that lingered upon her face
Mended the Eagle’s heart at last
