Death's Mirage
Living within cracks of dawn,
On upsides of downward time
Dwell spirits dawning taints
Darkened from dividend torment.
Grasping amongst deviation
Towards all lost in disparage
Ashes and ashes and dust to dust
Dilute each living’s dose
Nay towards none as dreary
Are ones daunted by delusions belonging of Death.

Ever since losing my best friend who I call brother to Death, I have still felt his presence amongst me daily. When we lose someone, they do not dissapear; they are merely misplaced within our minds and hearts. In this poem, I address how, depsite having been without my friend, he is still forever with me.
