The Tree and the Sun
I lay deep in thought,
Towards the heavens above,
For I had not sought,
Your never ending love
With my small, delicate branches,
Swaying in a beautiful dance,
only to be held in an eternal trance,
By your godly appearance in a glance
I had opened my naked wings,
To pray upon the golden Lord
You gifted me with blossoms,
Whose vibrant beauty could never be outrun
Oh, Sun! My lord,
I shall bow before you upon my knees,
For what you have bestowed upon me.
Is far greater than any creed
You have gifted me with your beautiful children,
Running around my body
You have gifted me with shining diamonds,
Spilled from your glass of wine
Oh my lord!
How shall I pay back your priceless gifts?
I shall spread my arms across Mother Earth,
To blossom life over these seas,
And wash emeralds over Mother,
So she will shine eternally
Like all of your other children,
I shall protect your creations,
Underneath my head,
And pray for many more prosperous years ahead
Oh lord,
No matter how much I pray upon life’s door,
Nothing can match your heavenly chord
