I am Piglet
A steady hand guides unsteady feet closer and closer to the door. Its the first day of high school and nothing will prepare her for the destruction yet to come. “Have fun, everything will be okay”
The steady voice echoes through her head alongside the pounding of an unsteady heartbeat.
“It is so good to see you” a sigh of relief as her friends catch up with her but one sour glimpse of the year prior sends her mind racing and hands shaking. This year, This year was supposed to be better. “How was your summer,” an old friend asks with no reply. Her mind is elsewhere, the fear sets in until a warm embrace is met cooling every nerve. “Hey! I missed you” a smile spreads across their face and just in that second everything is fine. Steady arms wrap around her again and everything will be okay.
