I Met My Skeleton Last Week
I met my skeleton last week.
For a long time we laughed about life,
And for a short sad moment we cried.
We drank and we ate, and told jokes only we’d understand.
And depressed the cushions of my couch watching movies we both loved.
We sang songs all night and into the early morning,
Only stopping to drink again,
Or ignore pertinent phone calls.
All and all, we enjoyed each other’s company.
Finally it was time for him to go.
I admit, I felt empty inside,
Watching my skeleton walk out the door.
