There is a game,

And life is the name.

Sadness and hunger,

Joy and anger.

There is love,

There is heartbreak.

Maybe pain,

And a little rain.

But no matter how good you are,

Life is tough as tar.

I win and lose,

To this game,

And life is the name.

The author's comments:

This poem talks about life and how different it can be for each person and each differrent experiences people have when going through life. Like the poem states, life can be challenging and leave you beaten and bruised and you may feel like you have lost but just know that your not alone.

The universe must be a teenage girl. So much darkness, so many stars.

I don't know what to think of this one. It seems like everyone knows that life is a game, but it'ss more like THE game. You used words like "love" and "heartbreak." Maybe find some more concrete examples of what you face in life? This is a great piece.

"It Will Be Good." (complicated semi-spiritual emotional story.)

"Upon his bench the pieces lay
As if an artwork on display
Of gears and hands
And wire-thin bands
That glisten in dim candle play." -Janice T., Clockwork[love that poem, dont know why, im not steampunk]
