Can We Go Back?
Can we please just go back?
To when I was decently happy, but still with flashbacks.
Can we please reverse?
I was happier back then, only, mentally I was doing worse.
I miss dropping everything to watch a lore stream,
Now it feels like I have to force myself to watch streams, and the only recent lore is with Dream.
I miss when Back to the Days, Please Don’t Make Me Choose, and Marionettes were played on repeat,
Now, I’m expected to stop watching a creator based on one tweet.
I remember when I’m In Love With an E-Girl first premiered,
I was in the school gym waiting for the countdown when the video just suddenly appeared.
I miss the feelings I felt while watching Wilbur’s revival live,
To admit, the times I’ve watched it afterward is probably 5.
When the first Lovejoy album came out, that’s all I listened to for days,
Then, on a bad day, I remember that all of this is probably a phase.
My calendar is still up from January, days filled with upcoming stream events,
But, no matter how much I filled that calendar, it still said, Court 8:30.
I couldn’t run from my problems even if I tried,
But at least I had Tales from the SMP by my side.
While at camp, I even made a friend who liked these things too,
We sang 4 AM, Ain’t No Cryin’, Honey, and Blue!
Maybe it’s best that these moments fade away,
Because back then I tried to flee the country; when asked why I didn’t even say
Maybe It’s because I don’t need those things to cope anymore,
Maybe I only need those friends I made who love to talk about lore.

we can't ever really go back, can we
Oh my gosh, you watched Mean Girls 2? I watched a “documentary” type thing about it on YouTube, and it seemed horrendous. I can totally see the Walmart brand of Mean Girls, and I can’t believe they made that (it doesn’t serve the OG Mean Girls any justice at all).
I love how I knew all of your references, and the duality of the people on the internet does really suck at times. But don't let that deter you! You are entitled to liking whatever the heck you want no matter what people say. <333
Maybe you can check my poem out...

This poem is about how I long for last year but also hate it; this poem helps me accept that I can long for the past while hating parts of it. (My friend picked out the image, and honestly? We rocking with it.)
