"Force answers force, war breeds war, and death only brings death. To break this vicious circle one must do more than just act without any thought or doubt." Khan, Metro 2033 by Dmitry Glukhovsky

Fingers under my flesh, not mine

The bone inside is too long for these fingers

My body too large for my soul

Why is the me of my dreams a different person

Why is the me of awake so cruel and different

A soul trapped in the wrong body

With the face of a man who is not him

A soldier in a uniform too small

A helmet on a girl too big

My soul disconnected from the body

A body from another without the soul it needs

The author's comments:

Its a short poem about me and my disconnect from my body. It doesn't feel like my own body a lot of the time. I tried to make it to where anyone can understand.
