2022 Traditions Contest: Flakes of memories
Relishing on ice-cream on customised occasions
Squeezed in one car during the vacations
Dressing up like random Disney Characters
Being both the cast and the directors
Selfie-Queens, Style-Kings, all together
Singing songs, one after the other
We're diaries to each other, sharing arcanes
Everyone around us would think we're hurricanes
But our primary custom, is giving out love
Being our lunatic selves, as eternal as a milky dove
Our group-cuddles end my flakes of memories
We have one another's shoulders as a family
The ephemeral flakes of sixteen quintessential years
made me realise how much I adore you, dears

President Barack Obama once said, "Of all the rocks upon which we build our lives, we are reminded today that family is the most important."
And he is absolutely right.
In every step of my life, my family was there for me. I personally have a really close bond with my family mainly because, my family members are my first friends. We do have a lot of special things together and speaking of family traditions, we do have plenty but due to the pandemic we are not able to carry on all those traditions like before. So, I decided to write all the memories of our tradition and also make our main tradition outshine. That is, giving out love; loving each other and always having each other's back. I dedicate this entirely to my family, never forgetting to mention that I shall always love them.
P.S. I looked for many images to symbolise my family members and I but I did not find a suitable one. So, I added an image of a hydrangea flower which symbolises the love in a family. I hope you'll enjoy the poem and the picture.
