To the one who saved me,

My rock and solid ground,

This is for you;

So to the one who saved me from myself,

The one who kept me down to earth,

The one who kept the pain at bay,

The one who turned the darkest nights,

into the brightest days,

The one who took the pills and blade away,

The one who gave me their shoulder to cry on,

and who gave me a place to stay when my thoughts came alive,

The one who cut the rope that laid around my neck,

The one who took the gun from my right and the knife from my left hand,

The one who kept me strong when I felt like caving in,

The one who gave me light and,

The one who gave me hope,

This is to say thank you for your help in keeping

me alive;

But this was something you couldn't stop,

Believe me when I say I tried,

I tried to get away,

 But I guess I didn't try hard enough;

Because now I'm saying sorry,

But the pain just wouldn't go away,

So I'm sorry to say,

But to end the pain and suffering and make it all go away,

And to end the bad thoughts,

And finally defeating the demons,

I must take my life away,

But when you read this just know 

that I'm in a better place,

Away from all my pain,

So for the last time,

I just want to say,

I'm sorry,

and that I love you,

From the one you saved.

      P.S. It's not your fault so keep the bad thoughts out and don't let the demons in.
