I am not I.

I am the pen that pours out

its blood on the battlefield of paper.

I am the ancient lullaby

sung by the stars.

I am the infinite dreams of a library.

I am the ravenous fire

in the veins of the earth.

I am the hope of lost fireflies.

I am the eagle that shelters

cities beneath his wings.

I am the cinnamon-hued heart

of hot apple cider.

I am the loneliness

of an asteroid.

I am the final prayer

of a melting glacier.
