Siblings
You might want to yell at them sometimes.
Make them disappear with one wish.
Sometimes you get lonely and there the only friend you have
You’re somehow attached to them.
There is no way to break the bond you have.
They will act like they care and then ruin it all in just a second.
It's funny how you hate, yet still love them.
When they do care, it is worth it.
They have your back when you need it.
They help you on the nights nobody does.
They are there when you need them.
There is no way to break the bond you have.
They might not be perfect but they can be your best friend .
My sibling and I are just an example.
We argue together,
Go on bike rides,
Annoy our parents,
We might be a little bit far apart but,
all we have to do is call out and the other is there.
There is no way to break the bond you have.
Being the oldest wasn’t an easy job.
They always took all the attention.
Even though the attention isn’t what I craved.
It got even tougher when they got older.
They started acting like me.
Like me.
I was their role model!
They copied me in every way they could,
I didn’t enjoy it.
My parents sat me down,
told me that this is a thing I would have to get used to.
I still thought it was a bit weird, but I couldn't control what they admired .
I mean come on could you blame them all the older siblings are amazing .
There is no way to break the bond you have.
I never understood how I got along with my brother.
One day I was fighting and arguing with him.
The next day I didn't even care.
It was like nothing ever happened.
The relationship between your siblings and yourself is complicated
You would do anything for them.
Yet still be the one to push them out of the way to get food.
They might annoy you to sleep.
Not listen to a single word you say.
At the end of the day they're still your siblings.
This piece was written about the relationship between me and my brother.
