her
The pupils of her silky brown eyes
pull me in like black holes
the symphonies that escape her lips
have me in a trance
with no escape, I give in
She cuts me open
takes my heart hostage
and when I love her the most
she leaves me
stranded
Now, all I have are memories
memories guilty for my restless nights
memories that have tainted my mind
memories that I wish to evict
Bittersweet memories
that delude me into thinking
that one day she’ll love me
once more
