Her Glasses
She took off her glasses
because "they only showed the world's imperfections,"
So once she died
I made sure to keep them clean
they were her final memento you see,
However through each lenses' reflection
I caught the world's horrors,
Now after glimpses of her lifelong burden
I too want to purge my memories
and blur my vision,
If that is all it takes to hold onto the euphoric high
of a world void of imperfection.
i wrote this while i was crying and walking to the library so, sorry if its a bit of generic depressing writing.
