Welcome to west brook
eyes drop to guns deep in holsters as the sky burns above clothed heads
peircing eyes go through steal and lead
don't question context, don't question the sheriff
first time, not even close
try 12th as sirens blare
nitro blasting through mechanical veins
smart cars going over a sky line thousands died for
terrorist, reporter, lover, husband
what does it matter to the masses
forget in a week
consume as post humous irony
years later as a second of seratonin coursing through friend wires
needing gallons to fill a greedy cup which has already spilt a kings ransom
come again back to the times of the kid
where death was certain on the mid day sun
and leather was only a place to hang a badge
stare up at that sister sun
and pray it doesn't draw its last
