Blink
It’s the shimmer I notice first.
A breeze floating in the air
A blue buried at the bottom of the ocean or an azure sky or like a gleaming ray of meteors slide across the surface and this is visceral.
I can see the fluctuating layers glowed.
See a flake of snow, the water, the wind.
The blizzard is making its way towards me now.
A snowstorm twirling me around without a ground to land my feet.
So if there’s a wave or a blow, there are no signs of warnings.
And yet the frozen oceans are delicate.
I’m walking on the surface which is marron with blood.
Which is a place I sprint around without noticing it.
