I have heard an artist say,
When questioned on their
perfect lines
Or shining dew on driest paper,
“There is a science to it.”
And yet a scientist, when asked
Of experiments, hypotheses,
theory craft, and foreign
symbols said
“There is an art to it.”

This was sort of inspired by me and my best friend. They're an artist and have been for several years. Meanwhile, I'm largely science focused. I've seen media where art and science directly oppose each other, but I don't think this is true. The more time I've spent with my best friend, the more I've come to think that you could not have art without science, or vice versa. They're two sides of the same coin, both relying on curiosity and creativity to reveal things about people and the world around us.
