The First Blue Sky (Cross-Country Practice)
Sneakers glitter in the sunlight
Just like the sweat we wipe
From our foreheads and alike
The first blue sky this season
Just enough of a reason
To carry on with the breezes
Hearts and feet leading
As we run unheeded
Even in rain or snow if needed
But who would've dreamed it?
The first blue sky this season
I admit, I'm... Not the best at poems. But I admire them. I love how the words flow together and create almost a melody.
Most of my poems I think of while going on long runs. It's an incredible way to observe the world we live in, at least, for me it is. The First Blue Sky (Cross-Country Practice) was one of the first poems I wrote on my own accord.
