Philophobia

The fear of love

It entraps my mind into subtle darkness

Surrounds my heart with roses

The thorns defend my affection and shield my understanding

Only few dare to venture through but most are apprehensive

I hide my love behind stone walls

But soon the they grow weary and I begin to fall again

I am then reminded of the great tribulation that comes lies behind the walls

I build the barrier once more around my rechid heart

Only to then let them fall once more

The author's comments:

I wrote this when I honestly felt like I could never live or no one could ever love me. It sucks to feel like that and I really wanted to write about it.
