Violence is built into the female body

In simple ways that you would not think to be violent in any way

It is built into my hair

The first time someone grabs us by our hair

It is our mothers asking us to sit down so she can braid your mess of tangles and dead ends into something appealing

It is built into my nails

How i must grow them out and polish them with a color that matches the nude of my body

Or if you have been taught promiscuity then you will paint them in bright flashing colors

It is built in between my legs

When someone makes love to you for the first time you will not revel in the pleasure

You will bleed

The space that will bring a screaming crying bloody life into this world 

Will also bring violence

My violence is built into my body where the existence of it alone is an invitation of invasion
