Alone
I've been left alone for way too long,
I've lost count of how long its been,
I just know its been at least a few years,
My memories fade into one,
The scrutiny that they give is a dance,
That I shall never learn,
People say I pull away,
But everything I have done was for them,
I'm not cold,
I'm not a brat,
I’m just a kid who has to act like an adult,
To the adults that I live with,
To my siblings who never understand,
I contort my way in,
Just to be cast out once again,
I forgot how to trust,
With some words barreling through my love,
With a gusto of pain,
The last time someone has ever said something to me,
Was to mock my name.
