Barnes and Noble
My hand grasps the cold metal and pulls on the golden door handle
Opening up a world of endless possibilities
It’s a magical place
Not like Disney nor space
Where you can create limitless memories
One book at a time
Books big and small
Tiny and tall
Fill the walls
With colors that beckon you with a silent mesmerizing call
Each individual section
Examples being Fantasy, Fable, Fairy Tale, and Fiction
Draw to your eyes longing for your attention
If you’re looking to make a tasty treat
The cookbook section is where you should meet
Brownies, Cupcakes, Cookies galore
All the recipes you would want and more
Bibliosmia
The smell is enchanting
As it floats off the pages your mind begins dancing
It draws you in and you want to buy more
And hoping its not yet time to walk out the door
It's quiet like a Library
Yet it’s still a store
While the serene silence is calming
The books you must pay for
While some prefer to read on their Nook
Nothing compares to the feel of a real paperback book
Turning each page as the story unfolds
You’re immersed in its world and it take its hold
Books can transcend you to many a time and place
Just one of the multiple reasons why the bookstore is my happy place

I love reading and going to bookstores. I wrote this imagery poem to try and encourage others to read and for people to see how happy it makes me. I hope that when people read this they become interested and decide to go to bookstores in their town.
