I’m made up of imagination.

I’m from sky castles, volcanos, 

and forest villages.

Where I’m from, there 

are kids who run around, acting like pirates. 

Where the ice cream truck comes ‘round every day. 

Grew up in the playground. 

Where we play hide ‘n seek and zoo. 

But I’m also from that side of the playground, 

Where we are looked down upon for being different. 

Where we are yelled at for acting like animals,

Where we are told rules and if we fail to follow,

We are kicked out.

I’m from running around on all fours,

hopping on one leg,

and just walking.

Our imagination is as wide as an ocean,

As creative as a paintbrush.
