The dawn breaks

Blue and gray pigeons

Coo in the early morning

The sky

As blue as the ocean

Pillowlike clouds scattered

Throughout the clear sky

A light September breeze

Burnt orange leaves falling throughout the streets

The smell of fresh pine in the air

Crowds of people

Huddled together

Off to work

In two skyscrapers

Reaching high up

Trying to reach the clouds

The work center of the world

Ordinary

Off to work

Just like every morning

A moment later

A bright light

A plane crash

Into the north skyscraper

Fiery gasses

Shouting everywhere

Bypassers in shock

The once-tall tower

Bent over

A moment later

The second plane into the south building

A big blow

The once tall towers

Tall no more

Cries for help

Screams

Shouts from every corner

Masses of workers watching

Sobbing

People from the once-tall towers

Rushing out

Hoping to escape

Their unknown fate

Many terrified

People

All over the world

Hovering over their small screens

Grieving

Watching

Terrified at the pictures

Their eyes huge

Bodies shaking

As the news details the horrific sights

Hoping and praying

People can escape

Unsure of all of the events

The future

Changed

The ordinary morning

Same as every day

Innocent lives

Without a tomorrow

Never would they have guessed

That this particular morning would be

Their worst morning

And their last
