whole not holy
make me good again. whole not holy
take this self-mutilation for sacrifice
so when cracking at my core, i will reveal
sins from creational silence, slipping out
from beneath man’s bed; a child’s beast
so kiss the cross, lock it up in the light of fire
of and for. you would have burned me for this
and laughed at the smoke of salvation
my enslavement to sanctitude. i only meet myself
in death. i find it there; here,
where the door stays wide open
do not give me this to take it away
