Mine
I never wanted it,
until you tried to take it.
Then it was the only thing that I have ever wanted.
You deserved it, but it was mine.
I worked for it
You showed up for it.
And so I held tightly, but it slipped through my fingers
Into your grasp where it glowed so brightly I had to look away.
Because you took what was mine and made it better.
