crumble, tumble, stumble
People are appalled by my tendency to crumble
when superiority and
wonder graced my features even when I was younger
A perfect soul, a perfect embodiment,
a holy flawless exemplification of an eldest daughter
in a world of souls filled with eager
desperate hunger.
People have yet to realize that I
am appalled by my own propensity to tumble
as not even the plunge of scathing water by an elderly individual
Would be able to return me to
the beautiful naivety of misunderstanding
what life would truly be like
A marvel like me was bound to stumble,
as perfection is non-existent in a world filled with such
struggle.
