Favorite Quote:
Victory at all costs, victory in spite of all terror, victory however long and hard the road may be; for without victory, there is no survival.

Masthead,

Death-bed;

Spouter-Inn,

Forgiven-sin

Brine,

Divine;

Deck,

Wreck…

Water magic,

Ocean tragic;

Go whale,

No bail

Moby Dick,

Be Glick;

Stay obsessed,

Fail quest!

Fight gods,

Zero odds;

Boil blubber,

Money grubber

Fate, chance, free will,

Mat, monkey-rope, quill;

Pipe, coffin, harpoon,

Leg, line, doubloon…

Gabriel and Elijah alike,

Captain Ahab the Reich;

Revenge spouting stormy waves,

Leviathan stirring mad slaves

Nature’s power roaming in the sea,

Crew’s soul lingering in plea;

Loyal heart or warrior might?

Fight, rebel, flight, or blight!

Queequeg, tattooed and bold,

Harpooner with tales untold;

Pacific islands, his distant home,

Killer skills, the water biome

Ishmael, a sailing wanderer inshore,

Soul adrift in ocean’s lore;

Philosophies woven in each line,

Anatomies squeezed to mere brine...

Capturing the essence of Moby Dick, this poem uses rhyming couplets and slant rhymes to picture the tumultuous sea and its whalers
