love wasn’t feeling out of place in your childhood home
love was the way your bestfriends picked you back up
making you feel as if you belonged
love wasn’t your parents telling you that you will never be good enough
love was your coach making sure you knew how proud of you she was
love was never the words you told yourself as you looked into the mirror
love was your dogs loving you just as you are
choose wisely
as love can be whatever you make of it
